We have a 3yr old Stafford shire bull terrier X that we rescued from the SPCA when she was only 9 mths old. Memphis started showing signs of aggression toward other dogs and male strangers. While at a family member’s home, Memphis’ aggression got to the point where she actually attacked and killed another dog. Knowing that this was the last straw and SOMETHING needed to be done immediately, I contacted Howlin' Good Times out of desperation hoping there was a solution.
Howlin' Good Times agreed to take Memphis in for 5 weeks and assured me that this wasn’t the end of the road, but there had to be some major changes, not only with Memphis but with ourselves. Not only did Howlin' Good Times take our dog to change her for the better but they taught us what we needed to do to change ourselves and become dominant over the dog. (Something we never had been taught before)
Once Memphis returned home we did everything Shalah suggested in order to maintain our pack leadership. Within the week we could definitely notice a difference in Memphis. Not only was she obedient but she had respect for us and our rules and boundaries we had set out.
Memphis now doesn’t have a problem with being approached by strangers and when she is approached by other dogs she doesn’t show any aggression. I am thankful of Howlin' Good Times and I remain taking Memphis there for visits as much as I possibly can in order to maintain her socialization!
