Searching without success throughout the city of Calgary for a place that would take care of Charlie, our 6 month old highly energetic chocolate lab for an extended stay was becoming a difficult task. We were not happy with the thought of leaving our friend in a stressful, overcrowded cement enclosure that offered little to no stimulation. At the time, I had just recently finished reading a book by Cesar Millan a dog behavior specialist talking about the pack mentality.

I was so excited when I found Shalah, owner of Howlin' Good Times and learned that she practiced this exact philosophy at her beautiful 10km area of land just outside of Drayton Valley. I called Shalah immediately and was impressed with her demeanor, her knowledge of dogs, training philosophy and knowledge-base dealing with behaviour issues. Charlie is now two years old and we have taken him on numerous occasions to Howlin' Good TImes and have seen so many positive results that we know that travelling the extra distance is more than worth it. We know that Charlie is very well taken care of each and every time and the energy that he can work off while playing with other dogs while training, running, swimming and doing countless other activities is priceless.

When we pick up Charlie from his Howlin' Good Times camp he is calmer, well balanced, trained and he is fit and trim. The training, care, love and attention that Shalah and her staff give to our dog gives us piece of mind knowing that we have left our friend at the right place. Shalah even takes the time to send us pictures of the dogs through email and Charlie's happy face and wagging tail are plain to see! I cannot thank Shalah and her staff enough for their care and attention to our dog.
